Marble Falls’ Mike Richardson voted Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year

 

Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Week campaign honors the state’s best football players

 

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS  – The Marine Corps Recruiting Station San Antonio is proud to announce that Marble Falls High School’s Mike Richardson is the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year for San Antonio.  Richardson threw for 2,763 yards with 31 touchdowns and just three interceptions in ten games this season for Marble Falls.  Richardson set a state-record with 724 yards passing with seven touchdowns in a 62-55 win over Boerne-Champion on September 20.  Richardson added 354 yards rushing with five touchdowns this season, giving him 3,117 yards of total offense with 36 scores.  For two weeks, fans voted online at www.TheSportsFlash.com to select Richardson as the Marine Corps Elite Warrior of the Year.
