Justin Gonyea – Hayesville

Gonyea poured in 34 points to lead Hayesville to a 60-48 win over Swain County in the Smoky Mountain 1-A Championship game.  The Yellow Jackets enter the Class 1A playoffs with a 26-0 record.

Shannon Hale – Christ School

Hale led all scorers with 30 to lead Christ School to a 97-80 win over Asheville Christian Academy.

Chase Moore – Enka

Moore knocked down the game-winning three-pointer with 10 seconds remaining to lead Enka to a 75-72 win over Asheville in the championship game of the Mountain Athletic Conference 3-A tournament.

Sheridan Pressley – Pisgah

Pressley earned tournament MVP honors after helping Pisgah to the Western North Carolina Athletic Conference 2A/3A title.  Pressley scored 12 in Pisgah’s 65-50 win over Smoky Mountain in the title game.

Sam Wilkins – Hendersonville

Wilkins earned tournament MVP honors after helping lead Hendersonville to a 76-52 win over Mountain Heritage in the Western Highlands Conference title game.  Wilkins opened the tournament with 29 in a win over Avery while dropped in 14 points with five rebounds and five assists in a 76-62 win in the title game against Mountain Heritage.
