FLORENCE , SC The U.S. Army Florence Recruiting Company is proud to announce the finalists for the inaugural Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year, honoring South Carolina ’s best high school wrestlers.  Fans can vote online at www.TheSportsFlash.com, starting on Monday, March 15, 2010 .  The voting will end at midnight on Sunday, March 28.  The winner will be announced on Monday, March 29.

Josh Clark - St. James

 

Clark, wresting at 112-pounds, recently won his third-straight Region 7-3A title and is currently ranked third in the state and the top-ranked 112-pound wrestler in the lower state.  Through the week ending January 31, Clark is 32-6 with three losses coming to out-of-state opponents.  Clark has not lost to a 3A wrestler in the state this season.

Ethan Nobles - Aynor

 

Nobles recorded a pin in Aynor's 36-34 win over Waccamaw in the Class AA Lower State duals.  Through 7 February 2010, Nobles is the seventh-ranked 112-pound wrestler in the state.

Trevor Janke - Sumter

PLEASE NOTE:  When voting, only one vote will be counted per IP address during a certain time period, depending upon how often that you've attempted to register a vote.  The time frame could be as long as 24 hours.  This prevents the "stuffing" of the ballot box and the crashing of our server.  That's why if you attempt to vote multiple times from the same computer, the voting total will not increase.  For many, clicking on the e-mail link of your favorite player will be the best way to record your vote.  With the e-mail, we will count one vote per e-mail address each hour.  When you click the link above, the voting numbers reflect only those votes collected via the pop-up window and do not reflect the e-mailed votes.  Before the voting ends on Thursday, a chart will appear on the site, updating you on the number of total votes that each nominee has received.  The winner of the Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year will be determined by the most total votes (e-mail and via popup window).
